Volunteer with us at Fat Con
As a volunteer, you'll have the opportunity to be an integral part of our event and contribute to its success.
You will have the chance to attend convention events and panels outside of your scheduled volunteer shifts. The majority of shifts will take place at the King Street Ballroom & Embassy Suites - 255 S King St, Seattle, WA 98104.
Our volunteer positions are open to anyone, no one will be turned away based on race, gender, body size, disability status, age, or sexual orientation.
You are able to sign up for either a 6 or 12 hour trade agreement. If you do 12 volunteer hours, we will be able to provide you with a $0 badge. For 6 volunteer hours, we will be able to provide you with a $100 badge. You will not be able to sign up for more than 16 hour or less than 6 hours. All shifts will be a maximum of 2 hours in length.

Director of Marketing
As the Director of Marketing for Fat Con, you will lead the strategic development and execution of all marketing initiatives to ensure maximum event visibility and engagement. Your leadership will drive innovative campaigns that captivate our audience and amplify the Fat Con experience.
Assistant to the Director of Marketing
The Assistant to the Director of Marketing will support the marketing team by coordinating schedules, managing communications, and assisting in the execution of marketing strategies. Your organizational skills and proactive approach will be essential in ensuring seamless operations and successful marketing outcomes.
Discord and Facebook Group Coordinator
As the Discord and Facebook Group Coordinator, you will cultivate and manage our online communities, fostering engagement and dialogue among Fat Con attendees. Your role involves creating a welcoming environment and ensuring clear communication of event updates and information.
Newsletter Manager
The Newsletter Manager will be responsible for crafting compelling content and distributing our event newsletters to keep attendees informed and excited about Fat Con. Your creativity and attention to detail will help maintain a strong connection with our audience and boost event anticipation.
Marketplace Staff Coordinator
The Marketplace Staff Coordinator will oversee the recruitment, scheduling, and training of staff for the Fat Con marketplace, ensuring a smooth and vibrant vendor experience. Your leadership and organizational prowess will ensure the marketplace runs efficiently and meets the needs of both vendors and attendees.
Food, Beverage, and Hotel Room Block Coordinator
As the Food, Beverage, and Hotel Room Block Coordinator, you will manage all aspects of catering and accommodation logistics, ensuring a seamless experience for attendees. Your role is critical in negotiating contracts, coordinating details, and providing exceptional service to enhance the overall Fat Con experience.
